HIV Tests

When do you test for HIV after an encounter. Some say 3 months is the right time and accurate to give you an accurate result . Some say 6 months is the right time. Some say 2 weeks. When is the right time to test for sure and come to know a 100% accurate result. Please help

6 weeks is indicative, and 3 months is conclusive. You result won't change after 3 months.

Well from the responses I have received on here 3months is ample time to get a accurate result. I was told by a doctor in rare cases it can take up to 6 months. I was 10 weeks and tested negative I am going to test again next week but its unlikely it will change. Im doing it for peace of mind.

I know thats right I will make sure no matter what long term relationship or not I will be making the man wear it from now on. No matter how long we been together. Yo never know if the other person value his life as you your own and no one is going to look out for me but me. When I get married maybe I will think about having sex without a condom and then he will have to get tested
