I was hoping that I might be able to ask your opinion on a experience I just had... Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated (I'm not asking for a medical opinion just thoughts)...
, which came in contact with her vaginal fluids. I admit that I am a bit terrified because I forgot about the cut on my penis. I have been doing some research on transmission expectations. What I have found is that I unprotected sex transmission is very rare, but that blood transfusion is very high. Does vaginal fluid with a cut on the penis count as blood transfusion?
I am not sure if the girl has HIV. I asked her for her sexual history, which she said is four past partners. She mentioned that she was tested in February and had no STDs but has had a partner after the test. She called her partner and asked if he had an STD. She said he said no and had recently been tested, but I don't really want to put my trust into those answers. I will absolutely be getting a test in three months (your website says you have to wait that long). I am going to ask her to undergo a test in the near future, but was curious what you thought about my potential risks - is it as high as blood transfusion? Thank you so much for your time,
You enter unprotected for 30 seconds? Thats a risk, it may have been small but it was a risk.
Blood transfusions.......... and unprotected vaginal sex, with a cut on your penis, thats no blood transfusion.
Get tested, at like 6-8 weeks and again at 12 weeks!
You had a risk and require testing. You may never get the desired answer when you ask ones hiv status.Only a test result is going to give you the answer you require. You require testing for other STD,s aswell. If 3months is to long to wait for an hiv test, then take an hiv test with a shorter window period, however at 3 months post-exposure you will receive your conclusive result as you know. All the best.
Do either of you know the percentage chance of acquisition due to the cut? I assume it is larger than just unprotected sex - but how much worse was it?
You can't always put a number on risk, but transmission is 1 in 1000... But with a cut you just added a variable.. But I'm telling you don't worry about it. Because a number game isn't what your playing right now... Oh this is what a cut would look like Ib numbers. (1•X)/1000
Not very interesting to hear huh?
Hahah, well I suppose it is not very interesting to some... but if the difference is 10/1000 or 100/1000 or 900/1000.... then it is pretty interesting... you have to understand I am just scared...

Only an hiv test result is going to provide you with the answer you seek. You can talk about speculations and statistics until the cows come home, its not going to change anything.
