HIV and Hepatitis B

I hope your having a wonderful day..I'm 36 years of age, live in Califorinia.  
Please review my questions on 06/29/09 and 06/30/09 so your able to get a clear history of me.  I got tested on Sept 1 (89 days) for HIV test results came back negative for HIV 1 and 2.  I understand that your not an expert on hepatitis but i respect your opinion.  Do i need to worry about hepatitis on this exposure.  You and my personal doctor think the same.  He told me that i'm fine.  And once again thank you so much.  I apologize for not placing this question on the Hepatitis forum.  I only found hepatitis C forum.

Dr. Hook answered your question with respect to HIV. Like HIV, hepatitis B is prevented by proper condom use.  There is no risk and you need not worry about it.  However, all sexually active people should be vaccinated against hepatitis B.  You should discuss this with your health care provider next time you have a routine visit.

I didn't know the condom broke; it seems you said that on one of your two other threads but not both.  However, like HIV, HBV (hepatitis B virus) is transmitted at a very low rate even with unprotected sex.  We never even test for it in my STD clinic, except once in a while when someone has a known-infected partner.  So this information doesn't change my opinion or advice.
