HIV and psoriasis??

Hi all. I'm a freaked-out 30 year old male with a quick question involving psoriasis (particularly scalp) as an HIV symptom. First off, I KNOW that only tests are 100%, not symptoms - but I just can't do it. I was diagnosed with P about 2, maybe 3 years ago. Researching it on the internet led me to the worry of HIV (shocker!) :).
-
I'm not a virgin and I've had my share of unprotected vaginal sex (my only real risk - no drugs, prostitutes, homosexuality, etc) -maybe 5 girls who I was seriously dating at the time, respectivley. Starting about 10 years ago or so.
-
I've never experienced any ARS symptoms like high fever or nite sweats that I can remember. Besdies the P, which just WON'T go away in my scalp (Olux is the only thing that helps and even that's temporary) and which has recently moved to my calf, I developed a hemorrhoid a few years back - which also is an "internet symptom" of HIV. Also, someimes I get numerous "red spots" on my chest which don't really itch or hurt - they look like a hive or a large pimple with no head - which usually show up after/during strenuous activity (like sex) but disappear within a day or so. I've learned my lesson on "web diagnosing" but I need to talk to people who are informed in this area. Please help.

SO . . . have any of you heard of psoraisis being an HIV symptom? Anytime I mention HIV to my Dr's or derms they say not to worry (blah blah blah) but I still do. Psoriasis doesn't run in my family and there's technically no reason I should have it. But yet I worry - not like I used too when first reading things on the web. I've read your boards for some time and unlike others I've checked out, you guys seem to be very helpful/ honest/ understanding. Your replies could help me finally accept the fact that I'm not HIV+ but I need your honest answers. I wouldn't take up your time but I haven't found any threads relating to my question.

Oh yeah, do ARS sypmtoms come and go or are they constant??

Thanks to everyone and God Bless.

hello i have both hvi and psoriasis ... i'm not sure how much research you have done but psoriasis is in the t8 cell and not in the t4 cell tho both being part of the immune system totaly different when it comes to hiv ....as far as u dont htink it was in ur family well it is ... it is  genetic it may lay dormant for several generations or a family member may have got it and it was such a small cast they thought it was just dry skin as far as you are concerned just stay on ur meds and listen to ur doctors .... one does not have anything to do with the other

Psoriasis is NOT a symptom. Do you truly want to relieve your stress. TEST. That's the only way to know your status.
