HIV concern/ weird inquiry

Starting off im going to admit I have somewhat bad OCD when it comes to my health over the last few years, particularly when it comes to the worst viruses.

Today I had a tooth extraction at my dentist and while I asked him before the procedure are all the utensils properly cleaned before hand and he said yes, I am still questioning that answer now that I am home. How can I be sure all the proper care was taken to ensure my health?. While he was extracting the tooth he was almost cutting himself on my teeth line, how can I be sure he hasn't be exposed to HIV from a previous client and now exposing me. Obviously during this procedure I had a lot of blood in my mouth and a huge hole.

It would be unbearable to find out i got HIV from a one off visit to a dental clinic I have used once before. If I was interested in testing for hiv how quickly could I do it? and how accurate would the test be?

Thank you for reading and for any replies.
