HIV rapid test accuracy on the 8th week

How accurate is the 3rd generation hiv rapid test (by finger prick) at 8 weeks (56 days)?

The test results prove without doubt that your partner didn't have HIV. You were not exposed and could not have been infected. Believe it and move on.

The reason I'm asking because I had high risk exposure from a female who was involved in 3some(with two bi guys) a week before me. She told a day after we had sex. Now I'm worried I may have been exposed to hiv. She said she's clean and protection was worn. I had her take a test at Planned Parenthood after 8 weeks & 4 days exposure (60 days). THE TEST was a rapid blood test by finger prick which results comes in 15-20 minutes. She Showed me the result and it was negative. Next week on August 26th, I'll be taking my test which is 8 weeks and 2 days after exposure (58 days). Is there a very very good chance I'm negative? 90,95, or 99% chance?

1) The time to reliable HIV testing, and the reasons that many agencies still recommend 3 months even though earlier testing is usually conclusive, has been discussed extensively on the HIV expert forum. See this thread, including the others linked in that one.

2) The expert forum used to say that more conservative (later) testing made sense for particularly high risk exposures. So if you had unrptected vaginal or anal sex with a known infected partner, you might consider another test for further reassurance. Other than that, I see no need.

I still have a few more questions concerning about the hiv rapid test.

1. You stated that "All standard HIV blood tests, both rapid and lab based, pick up virtually 100% of infections by 6-8 weeks." My question is why do most clinics like Planned Parenthood have people tested by 3 months after exposure?

2. Since the test "pick up virtually 100% of infections by 6-8 weeks." Does the time frame change if it was a high risk exposure compare to a low risk exposure?

All standard HIV blood tests, both rapid and lab based, pick up virtually 100% of infections by 6-8 weeks. The oral fluids test is the one test that doesn't reach conclusive results until 3 months.
