he is my question if had touched something that had HIV blood on it and then the blood got onto my fingers and then I touch and small cut or bleeding pimple, do I have a risk? I was at my doc for a physical and I mentioned this to him and he pretty much laughed at me.
Any way they say blood to blood contact is a risk so why could a small cut or bleeding pimple not post a risk? If i remember correctly from college my teacher said it has to be direct contact, meaning sex, mother to child or iv drug use. She also told me that HIV only infects t-cells and those are not found in small cuts or bleeding pimples and that the cut would have to be deep in order for HIV to get access to those cells. Said you pretty much have to try to get HIV meaning putting yourself at risk through the direct contacts I listed above. Also she said HIV is nothing sitting out there waiting to infect people in the environment. Is all this true?
