HIV risk or not?

by eddy_1, Jul 29, 2009 09:56PM
Im currently in high school. Around 4 months ago in one of my classes a friend hit me in my arm with a paper that was folded in a way that made it sort of sharp, before he hit me he had hit at least one other person, im assuming it cut the other guy, although probably a little cut. And then a few minutes later he hit me in the arm, at the begining the cut did not bleed, but after a few seconds it started bleeding a little bit. The guy that hit me in the arm used a regular sheet of paper to hit me and the other guy  (it was folded to make it slightly sharp), would the paper retain the blood of the other guy. Im I at any risk of getting HIV if the other guy that got hit had HIV. I dont think its likely that he did because its a high school.

You were never at risk.

I was asking that because a few weeks after that happened I got a canker sore, and I read that canker sores happen a few weeks after someone gets hiv. is that information accurate?

No it isn't accurate. Canker sores and HIV have nothing in common.

this kinda calms me down a bit, but with all the stress this caused me I remember another time when a friend cut me in the arm with a broken bottle, im guessing it had been in the floor for a while, it was only a superficial cut, like the one in my first cut, is there any risk if it had some blood from another person in it?
this brings me to my final question, I hope, does a superficial big enough for hiv to pass through if it is in contact with hiv infected blood?
I started getting freaked out after my biology class, the teacher said that even a papercut was enough to get hiv if it comes into contact with hiv infected blood.
I think my stress level is pretty high right now because the stress is turning into a cold and feeling tired lately, I would greatly appreceate any replies
