HIV scare... I'm losing my mind
Okay so here is the whole story and it's been eating me alive and I just need some help. I am an 18 year old male and a little over 3 months ago I gave oral sex to another guy who I didn't know after a party. He didn't ejaculate in my mouth but there was some contact of his sperm with my mouth.
Fast forward 6 weeks and I notice my tonsils are extremely swollen aswell as my lymph nodes, I then also started to have a sore throat and a mild fever. This came with extreme tiredness. I went to the doctor and they tested me for mono. Which came back positive... So it was mono with all the classic symptoms. The next week I developed a sinus infection, which is common with mono. I went to the doctor to get antibiotics for the sinus infection. This time it was a different doctor who immediately asked my mom to leave the room to ask about my sexual activity and about if I was gay or not. This freaked me out so much. She wanted to test me for HIV, I was a nervous wreck at this point. So she ran a blood test aswell as the HIV antibody test, the blood work came back normal which provided momentary relief, a week later I got the letter from the doctor saying that my antibody test came back negative aswell. This test was done at about 8 weeks post possible exposure which concerns me because of the 3 month window. The mono went away for the most part and I started to feel better, the only thing was that my lymph nodes and tonsils were still slightly swollen. I read online that this swelling should probably go away within 2 weeks of the infection of mono, I forgot about them for a while but now it's been 2 months since my mono and my lymph nodes and tonsils are beginning to get bigger again, also I noticed the lymph nodes in my groin area are swollen aswell. I just feel like there's a lump in my throat all the time, I'm worried sick. My back started hurting about two days ago but it could have been from lifting some heavy boxes at work the day I noticed it. There's also some swelling in my testicles but I'm not totally sure. Also I've been having the chills off and on for the past few days. it started right when I noticed my glands were swollen again. I lost like 10 pounds from the mono and lost my appetite so I'm skinnier than usual and I am worrying about this so much that I have a ridiculous amount of anxiety. If it actually was just mono why would my lymph nodes still be swollen all over my body. Any insight is greatly appreciated I haven't had a good night's sleep in a month. I go to bed really late and then have to get up for work and it just eats at me all day long everyday.
