HIV test at 6 weeks

HIV test at 6 weeks

hi.
i recently had unprotected sex with a girl and since i was worried about getting infected i recently did my hiv test at 6 weeks . it included p24 antigen and antibodies test. both came out to be negative. i wish to know if i should repeat the test or not since i read that by doing p24 antigen the window period is reduced. thanks

a p24 antigen test at 8 weeks is too late...at this point of time  if u wish to test, u need to test for antibodies and not for p24 antigen...if an antibody test is negative now, you need to test again at 3 months for a conclusive result
