HIV tests very reliable: Plz comment

Hi,
     I read that HIV tests which are FDA approved are very reliable and not only FDA approved but also approved by US department of health agencies like EPA, National quality measures clearing house. So is that true that any test before launching gets approval by FDA and other government agencies in order for complete effeciency.

The EPA doesn't have anything to do with medical tests. The only agency that gives approval is the FDA. The FDA has to approve all tests before they can be marketed and sold in the US.
