HIV through fingering

About 2 months ago, i got drunk and ended up hooking up with a guy. He briefly fingered me and i was on my period, is there any way that i could have got HIV or similar from this, if he was infected?
and if so do i need to be tested?

He would need to have a cut bleeding, that was fresh and deep, so the chances of that are probably zero. I pretty sure there hasn't been any documented cases from this activity, in most HIV infections the person has risk factors, those without risk factors, quite a lot of effort is put into trying to find the source. There are very few cases where the source is not known, they are certainly in the minority. Hope that helps.
