HIV viral load

So i am concerned now.  I had a needle stick 2 weeks ago by a patient who was confirmed HIV+.  My initial tests were all neg. and her viral load was <48.  I went to the Dr. today and he ordered a HIV viral load test. Why would he order this if my test was neg.? SO if it comes back that i have a viral load than does that mean that i will eventually sero-convert? If it comes back undetectable than does that mean that i will be negative the next time I have a antibody test? I am confused as to why he would order this if my tests were neg and i dont have a pos. test yet (and hopefully NEVER will)???!!! Confused and please help!!

NO.
Not buy a stick but by infusion.
Now you had to report the possible exposure it's required by law.

I don't really have one. I have been doing everything through this ID doc. Hes got me concerned now, after I had calmed my nerves down after the needle stick! Have u ever heard of them doing the viral load test in this circumstance? Have u ever heard of someone converting after a hiv + needle stick? SQ insulin needle no visible blood through a glove bled and washed right away on PEP and her viral load was less than 48?
