HIV window period - relationship to other STDs

Hi,
First, thank you for this forum.

I have been with the same partner for 3 years.

2 months ago, I had protected vaginal intercourse with a female sex worker. The  encounter did not last long, and I was wearing a condom all the time. However, about an hour prior to the encounter I had shaved my genital area.

After the encounter, I noticed a tiny tiny red dot on the base of my penis, which was obviously a result of irritation due to shaving (sort of like razor burn). I did not see any vaginal anywhere on my genitals.

Nevertheless, the stupidity of the act occured to me after the event, and made me quite anxious about contracting HIV or possibly other STDs.

I had mild flu-like symptoms after 2 weeks, which lasted only for 3-4 days. After that I felt a little weak and had mild muscle pain for another week.

I got tested using a rapid hiv test (INSTI brand) at 2, 6 and 9 weeks, all negative.
I also got tested with a blood sample, at 3.5 weeks and 4 weeks, both included p24 screens and both were negative.
I tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea at 2 weeks, also negative.

These results comforted me a lot.
Today, 9.5 weeks from the encounter, I was diagnosed with epididymitis, after experiencing mild pain in my scrotum for several days. I also did a test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, the results of which I have not yet received.

The doctor said that most likely the epididymitis is due to an STD. The only risk of me getting an STD was thru the above mentioned intercourse with that sex worker 2 months ago.

So ... now I am really worried again, and I have several questions:

1- Should I need to worry again about the possibility of contracting HIV?
2- Would having another STD like chlamydia affect HIV test results?
3- could I have contracted chlamydia and gonorrhea because of the razor burn? (as I said I used a condom at all times)

Thank you and god bless

Your umpteen tests prove you do not have HIV. You wore a condom. Condoms work for the above mentioned STDs. Epididymitis symptoms can be like the ones you experienced and epididymitis is treatable and not always caused by an STD.
