, with a guy I was dating. For the most part, he was touching himself and touching me, but there was some brief contact between genitals. I now have herpes, and when I talked to my doctor she said I should also be tested for HIV
involving penetration? And am I correct in thinking that I need to wait three months from date of contact to get an accurate test result? And is there any specific test I should be asking for? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!
I've got another query. I went back to the gynocologist this past Wednesday (the 23rd) for a yeast infection that is not responding to treatment, and discussed some other symptoms I've been experiencing for the past few weeks as well: a sore throat that won't quit, odd rashes on thighs, upper body, and scalp, a mild case of thrush, joint pain in shoulders, and extreme fatigue to the point where I can barely stay awake even after a good night's rest. She said that these could be the early signs of an HIV infection, even though there was no penetration: she continued to say that if the penis comes into contact with the vagina, even externally, there is the possibility of transmission. What do you think? I will be tested, of course, but I'd appreciate hearing any further info anyone can give me. Many thanks.
