just to add if its ag ab its a 4th gen test, but the gen doesnt matter after 6 weeks since already antibodies begin to apper in strength and the antigens slowly depleat ....just for info thanks bye
sorry readers to interrupt, for the benifit of all, cmia is an excellent 3rd gen test and accurate. Reg the result no matter the fraction .18 or .33 or .66 makes no difference it varies from testing to testing and lab to lab, its a technical term called signal to cut off ratio, also signal to noise ratio.which is based on a factor of one, which means no antibodies present below 1 however between .9 to 1 requires further testing, and any thing above 1 is considered positive but subject to further testing...
Doesn't matter if you took a first generation test you have a conclusive negative result.

thanks for the answer but is the cmia a 4th generation test with a lower window period ?
You are conclusively negative.
I did have a cmia test for hiv ag/ab at 6 months 2 weeks and again at 6 months 3 weeks , the results were non reactive (0.18) and non reactive(0.33).Is this increase in value a concern ? and at 7 months i had a immunochromatography test for hiv 1,2 the result was non reactive.IS THIS CMIA TEST A 4th generation test ?
I went for a cd4 / cd8 count my cd4 count was 522 and my cd8 count was 416 hence the ratio 1.25 is this normal ? I being a GAD patient am very worried.
Thanks for your time and reply asap please.
God Bless
yes they will detect the antibodies in your system...produced against the virus
will the elisa test or a rapid hiv test detect any hiv even if my viral load is very small ?
this is after 7 months of my last exposure.
Thanks for your time
you can test NOW for a conclusive result.
no meds will affect your test.
