Hi 6 weeks ago I had protected oral and vaginal sex with a sex worker the condom seemed to be intact afterwards and all went fine. I was stupidly drunk and I have regretted it everyday since. Since the event I have had little to no symptoms of anything apart from frequent diarrhoea for the past 3-4 days. I was on a course of flucloxacillin 4 times a day for maybe a week last week or two weeks ago. I have no other symptoms just an upset stomach and gas predominantly. I'm hoping some people can give me any indication if it is HIV as I am freaking out so so so bad please help me.

Teak I'm real sorry but please just one last reply. I've been having slight stomach aches nothing too strong a little bit of back pain and now I have the tiniest of ulcers on the tip of my tongue this is 7 weeks plus of the event. The 'upset stomach' has now stopped and my nausea feeling, dizziness and brain fog has gone as I feel that was down to anxiety. Just say if the worse did happen at the event and I was exposed say the condom broke without me knowing which I doubt it did because she give me a hand job afterwards but are any of these symptoms consistent ? Please man just one last reply I need this

I really do apologise for the other thread and if it seems I am wasting your time and I know repeat questions are frowned upon. Just out of curiosity. Would diarrhoea and nausea/light headedness alone with no other symptoms give cause for concern for HIV.

But just one last quick one. Say if there was ever a slight chance of exposure would diarrhoea alone be enough of a symptom ?

Okay so the diarrhoea Is due to a completely different matter than HIV? I'm just paranoid due to the 6 weeks prior to the event and the 'upset stomach' occurance as I have read it is a symptom

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

Thank you for a speedy reply its is much appreciated and having read your account I know I can take your advise with great confidence but I'm worried about the diarrhoea 6 weeks prior to the incident? I have felt the faintest bit of nausea but nothing noticeable when im alone it seems that symptoms just arise as when im out with friends I do not really notice anything apart from the 'upset stomach' i had a nasty cut on my knee the night of the event also I cant say for certain if the knee came into contact with anything or not I just need my mind resting I do apologise for the questions. Your help will pay dividends to me I can't tell you how much I will appreciate this
