Dear DOCTOR
recently my wife got genital warts. when we went to her gyno she confirmed it was hpv and suggested that it be removed by freezing or with nitrogen or something like that. it was completly removed and we were asked to use protection before sex
anti rubella and the other rapid HIV1 and HIV2. with the results out i knew i had put her in danger. but the results came -ve for HIV, thankgod. after nearly three months into her preg she got these HPV warts were removed. Now she is due to deliver the baby next month. with the blood work out last month her WBC LEVELS elevated to 14700 and ESR 66. apart from that everything seems normal. I still havent taken any test for HIV despite the fact that i have a swollen lymph node (1/2 to1 inch) in my upper thigh. for last 8 years and now, one on my jaw.
please doctor help me on these questions. you help in this regard will be much appreciated.
1. IS RAPID HIV TEST ACCURATE CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT IT WAS TAKEN 2 MONTH AND 10 DAYS AFTER WE HAD SEXUAL INTERCOURSE
2. CAN HPV LEAD TO HIV ? IF YES, WHAT % DOES A PERSON AFFECTED WITH HPV WILL ALSO GET HIV
3. CAN HIV CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS OF WBC AND ESR
4. IF I HAPPEN TO HAVE HIV, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES MY WIFE AND BABY GETTING IT ?
