Have got broken condom while sex and now have symptoms like HIV. Please guide.

On 12th Jan, I slept with an escort. She performed blow job for 5 mins and then we started vaginal sex with protection. Condom was offered by her only. After 10 mins of performing, she suddenly realized that the condom was broken and asked me to pull back. I saw the the tip of condom was torn about 2 cm. My penis had no sign of blood or very little fluid over it. After 5 mins we started again with new condom and reached to an end safely. I asked as she ever got infected, her reply was no. As per her, it has been just three months she is into this business.
After one week, I started getting symptoms like mild sore throat, pain in joints - started with one shoulder and now spreaded into another shoulder as well with stiff neck, back all the time. Apart, no fever, no rashes, no swollen lymph nodes, no headache, no fatigue. I am very much concerned if I got infected by HIV or any other STD. I have crossed 3 weeks and still have flue, joint pains with stiff neck and back .Please guide.

You had a risk but it is unquantifiable without a test so require a test and should use protection until the results come back. You can do a 28 day 4th generation test for a conclusive result so not too far off. Try to relax until then.

HIV is not easy to get and your symptoms are unreliable so there is absolutely nothing pointing to HIV - HIV doctors don't even pay attention to them without a test. Everyone gets 3 colds or flu each year so that is a very credible possibility during flu season - no sense worrying when there are no facts - not that it is relevant but I have been waiting 19 days for a biopsy result and don't spend a minute worrying although  like you the thought pops up all day long.

You relaxed me. I am thinking to get tested after 28 days mark. However what are my odds of being infected in this case?
Unquantifiable since it is purely a matter of whether she had HIV and if the activity was able to spread it, which isn't easy - it isn't like a cold where contact pretty much guarantees you get it.

Keep relaxing and counting days and test for sure because then you no more what-ifs to think about. btw condoms do not protect against stds and there is an std forum for that info.
Hi AnxiousNoMore,
Today I took the test and below are my results:
Test Name: HIV 1 / 2 & P 24 COMBO TEST(CMIA)
Result: 0.08 (Non-Reactive)

Please let me know your view.
