Having a panic attack...please help

Nov 2006--received unprotected cunnilingus from someone i didn't know well.

April 2007---Blood test and oraquick---negative

June 2007---found an enlarged lymph node in neck

July 20 2007---oraquick --negative

August--lymph node removed...biopsied----result is 'benign reactive lymph node"

I have not had possible hiv exposure since Oct 2006...should I retest...i've read that reactive lymph nodes are often caused by hiv...please help...i'm having a panic attack and taking ativan.

Benign reactive lymph node means it's swollen but no cancer.  It could be reacting to anything from stress to a cold.

And teak is right.

Only test can tell not symptom...
I'd say if you only have cunnilingus... it is low risk from every one saying... I actually performed it... no blodd... no risk... teak has more knowledge he probably can help you more (or HIV 24)

Like what teak told you... >1 years... non reactive = no HIV... move on man, you will make yourself suffer... just never think about HIV anymore and try to be monogamous...

is there a chance the antibodies were delayed or something at 5 and 8 months after possible exposure?

Not unless the tissue was tested for HIV. Standard tests will not show it. This has nothing to do with HIV. You tested way past your window. You are negative.

when i google 'reactive lymph node' so much hiv **** comes up.  would they be able to tell during the biopsy if it's hiv related?  sorry....i made an appointment earlier today to see a psychologist...not for another week.  i just have such hiv paranoia that i can't function.

You never needed a test the first time or to retest.
