Help! Possible HIV!

I had sex multiple times unprotected with another man. We did Anal and oral.
I don't know why I trusted him but when i asked him if he got tested he said he recenlty got tested and he was negative.

I didn't have anything abnormal happen to me except 4 weeks after last sexual intercourse i got these insect bite like things on my left thigh a few prolly around 5 bites total. I've got them  before and thought it's just another allergic insect bite reaction. fast forward 1 year later.

I haven't had any illness or anything weird since then. but now I'm having skin problems. I've got tese mysterious bites again on my ankle and on my thigh. I've got 4 of em total. I've developed some kind of facial skin acne or something (I'm 20). I'm afraid I may have some symptom of hiv. Like an opportunistic infection. Folliculitis and a sudden wart influx.

Help me doc.. I need your input... I am sooo worried that this might be HIV and the guy i had sex with might be positive without him knowing.

Please tell me the chances that i have hiv given the conditions i supplied... I'm thinking of getting tested soon but i want to hear from you first. thanks so much.

thanks guys. you hve no idea how much this forum is helping people. im going to get tested today just to be sure... ive never been this nervous and scared in my entire life.

i have even been thinking of getting into an aids / hiv foundation or awareness campaign whatever happens. being in this position is really hard and i would love to have known better and been more aggressive about protection - but we know its really hard when youre in the middle of it.

i hope i dont have hiv. i hope these are just insect bites and a flare up of acne. this has definitely tested me and has changed me! omg. ill post when i get back from the test later on today. hope for the best. cheers

No, skin problems are just that, skin problems.

Sounds like insect bits on the ankles, thats where the flying critters always bit me, plus its that time of the year, the bugs are coming out.

Acne is oh so common for a 20 year old, you cant relate it to HIV in any way.

but is it possible that hiv symptoms are exclusively skin problems appearing a yr after possible exposure? im really scared.

Symptoms mean nothing when it comes to HIV, most people DO NOT get any symptoms at all when infected. Ask Teak yourself, hes HIV positive and never had a single symptom. The only way to know is by blood test.

with my experience I do not think yuo need to worry ..I think you woul dhave more symptoms if you were possitive but OF COURSE you shoudl get tested.

At least you asked your partner his status and he told you he tested negative recently. Most people wont lie either especially due to the serious nature of the virus so more than likely he is negative and therefore you wouldnt be able to be infected.

You still need a test anyway, wait till about 6 weeks then get another at 3 months. Wear protection next time.
