I've not been felling great over the past 2 months, not been sleeping very well, drinking too much and generally run down and have put it down to the stress of thinking I have contracted HIV
. I went to see the doc said I've viral pharyngitis (to me that's a sore throat). My question is could this be the initial symptoms of HIV? Is 7 weeks too late for that? Should I get tested? All the stress and worry is coming back in waves.
I feel a little better just posting this so thanks for 'listening'. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Spot on. As a father of a young boy, the anxiety has put me in an unfamiliar place over the past 2 months. My 'perfect' life has seemed to be falling apart.
Again thanks for responding - Plus like the name, I drive a Jag.......
Yep....although I know my 'symptoms' are real and there has to be a cause, I've accepted that they aren't due to HIV. The act that placed me in my situation created serious guilt-driven-anxiety within me as well, so I know what yer goin' through...
Yep. From your response, seriously, it sounds like you are having feeling of guilt-driven-anxiety from this experience. For your own sake, try to stop brooding.
Good luck, man. You are fine HIV-wise, though. I'd suggest talking to a friend (that you trust) about it or if you still can't let it go, seek professional help. Sounds like you'll be fine though.
