If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I just got my result for my HIV test, my doctor was not able to go over my result today. I got a couple and it reads: It says Index value: Specimen reactivity relative to the negative cutoff. Does that mean HIV negative or postive?
HIV 1/o/2 Abs-Index Value <1.00
Index value:specimen reactivity relative to the negative cutoff.
HIV 1/o/2 Abs, Qual Non Reactive
HIV 1/o/2 Abs-Index Value <1.00
Index value:specimen reactivity relative to the negative cutoff
The section above throw me off I wsn't sure what it means...
Thanks for clarifying
