Hi Dr Brian. I have done every test they have on market. I was retested at 12 months and was negative. I also did all the tests from PCRs to Elisa's and WB's . I was told by another doctor it can take up two year before test can show. I said where did you heard it she said I'm a dcotor and I said you need some more updated on HIV. Dr Brian, let me know if I need another test after being raped last year.

I am not aware of any information to suggest that you should be tested any more unless you have had another possible exposure to HIV or unless you have clear symptoms of HIV infection and a lowered CD4 count. I think it is time to move on.

I was worry cause couple coworker at health dept told me that I can gave bloood and dnt have to tell them about raped long my tests are negative and it's my bussness . I was mis imfor about that they said I cant gave blood nomore cause of raped but I talked to another blood bank they said long it been 12 months I can gave blood again. redcross said no Teak why some place said I can and some said no ? thanks alot

Not all blood banks are the same. You have to go with their policy.

Just read the questionaire that they give and if their are questions that disqualify you then you just don't donate their.
