Herpes and the risk of HIV.. help plz!

While I was in Malaysia, I had sex with a girl from Thailand who was working in a bar, 2 weeks later i was diagnosed with genital herpes.. Oral sex was unprotected but the vagina sex was protected.. the herpes lessions appeared at the tip of the foreskin where the condom was supposed to have covered. The herpes infection seems to be very mild and never hurt after a month since the outbreak. The lesions are still there, some of them are still raised while others are not. My main concern on the other hand is not the herpes, but I'm very very concerned about my chances of contracting HIV. After 5mins of intercourse, I pulled out my penis and noticed that the condom was still intact without any breakage or leakage. I did not ejaculate during the intercourse but the girl finished the act by a blowjob with the condom initially on (after sex) and later took of the condom but continued the BJ till i ejaculated w/e the condom.

My questions are:
1) If the vagina sex was protected (Durex extra safe condoms), but the herpes outbreak was where the condom was supposed to cover, what are my chances that I may have contracted HIV given the circumstances above?

2) What are the MAIN symptoms of HIV? It is now 6weeks since exposure and my doctor is refusing a blood test till 3months and 6months mark.

3) My worries are endless now as I contracted Herpes from the girl and could this significantly increase my chances of contracting HIV?

4) Why aren't the presence of my Herpes going away as it has been 1month post-outbreak? The lesions are still remarkably visible but it has never hurt nor caused me any pain. (I can rub it very hard but there is no feeling). If this is not Herpes, what could it be?

5) On the 07/12/2009, 1month post exposure I took a vaccine for Hepatitis A/B. Since then, my armpits felt very sore but without swelling. I've convinced myself that the sore or pain at that area could be due to the vaccine I took. However, could this also be signs of ARS?

I wanna add also that since the post-exposure, the girl has gone back to Thailand. However, she gave me her number in Thailand in which I managed to contact her. She was very suprise when I mention about HIV and was very sure that she does NOT have HIV. She told me she was never a prostitute but was a dancer in Pattaya before coming to work in a bar in Malaysia. Finally, can a person have HIV without even knowing it?

Thank you so much for helping me out. I deeply appreciate your feedbacks. I'm currently 24 of age, and I have nvr visited any prostitue neither have I ever done such things. I regret it and hope that your expert/experience in this field can advise me on what to do next.

you state that the condom was intact?  condom protected sex = no risk for hiv.

without an exposure...you cant be experiencing ars.

Yes, the condom was intact.. what puzzles me is the herpes infection even with the condom on.. I'm very sure that without the condom, there was no touching, rubbing or engaging between my genital and hers. If the herpes virus managed to penetrate through the condom, will the HIV be able to do the same?

Herpes didn't manage to penetrate through the condom.

I understand, but really.... the lesions are there.... However, since herpes is not a life-threatening issue, it is of my least worries... I'm jst extremely anxious about HIV.. that is all i really care about now... eat, sleep, work, driving it cant stop bogging my mind...

You'll need to work with a mental health professional as to why since you didn't have a risk of contracting HIV.

Look: the oral sex was unprotected. That was where you contracted the herpes. Unprotected oral sex did not put you at risk for HIV. No way.

The intercourse was protected and the condom remained intact. Absolutely no risk for HIV. Again, no way.

As everybody above has said. You were never at risk for HIV. Accept that fact and move on.
