High risk and test accuracy?

High risk and test accuracy?

Question
I had and issue which it might be my mind giving me problems...
I had a relationship with a girl who was HIV positive which we allways protect our self as much as we can and her Viral leve being Undetectable but my mind kinda freak me out by even thinking that I might have it by knowing her situation...
By her knowing or being well educate it on this subject and knowing her viral load being undetectable she tells me not to worry cause the chances for me to getting it are less and taking the test below...
I took 3 diferent COBAS (R) Ampliprepr/COBAS (R) TagMan (R) HIV-1 test kit (Roche Molecular Systems, Inc.)  (1st after 15 days of risk; 2nd after 1 month and 3rd after 1 month 1/2) they all came to be negative which is great.

My Question is how confident should I be about the results and not having to keep worry about my situation... The reason why is that I don't want to be thinking that I'm alright and not having to take another test and unconcies maybe be spreading the virus thinking that I'm clean.

Should our protactions, her advices on her undetectable viral load and the 3 testes I took should be enough for me to be confident and keeping me out from worry that I might be infected and not worried about the 3-6 window period or do I still need to take the 6 months window period in consideration; Or this type of test will be enought for me not to worry about those 6 months window period?

Please le me know I'm in a new relationship and about to get marry but this is still bothering me and is really hard... By me being worried for the person I'm now which I'm trying to protect.

Hope you understand and give me and answer on both of my questions, I will trully appreciate.

Be bless!!!

Well first off you don't say what risk (if any) you've had. Being in a relationship with someon who is HIV+ ISN'T a risk. It's having unprotected sex that is. That said for the purpose of my answer I'll assume (and you have intimated it in your question) that you are using condoms each and every time you have sex. Well, if so and the condoms are used correctly and haven't failed then your risk would be pretty much zero. HIV cannot penetrate latex condoms. Period.

However it's always a good idea to be tested on a regular basis and possibly to have access to PEP if somehow your do have a condom failure in the future. For the purpose of tehis forum an HIV test is ONLY considered as conclusive after three months. However there is no reason to test out to six months anymore.

Hope this helps.

Her being +.
Had Oral which she was giving/performin it to me (I heard that oral shouldn't be a reason to worry unless there is lots of blood involve) as well as saliva.
We allways use condoms which we were good on that...

Is just the fact of knowing her situation and not knowing the accuracy of the test that I tooked that keep me going back on thinking that another test is recomended for me to take.

Thanks for your response!

oral sex is not of risk even with a known hiv positive person..
dont worry and the testing accuracy does not matter as you are negative..

So I shouldn't worried about the 3 - 6 window period and go with the 3 HIV 1 RNA, Quantitative
Real time PCR, COBAS (R) Ampliprepr/COBAS (R) TagMan (R) HIV-1 test kit (Roche Molecular Systems, Inc.)..
And stay confidant/calm that the 3 negative results won't change after that window period?

Sorry for this i'm just anxios and trying to take any possibility out of my head.

Thanks again!!
