Since your last reply was over 2 years ago, I am wondering whether you have got confirmation of your HIV status.
I'm working in laboratory, on HIV testings, and sometimes the results for HIVDUO are positive, slightly above cutoff value, like your result. Just once we have got a feedback from one old granny, who was also found to be positive, but confirmation tests turn out to be negative, and she told us that she had received a vaccine against flu that winter before first HIV testing, so we're thinking that might be an interference. Do you remember doing anything similar in that period? That might be very helpful information for me.
did you see the question I ask?
Please start your own thread for your questions.
what does negative hiv ab, hiv 1, wb negative
hiv-1 ab, western blot does this mean negative or positive p24 no bands

in 28th day duo was 0,48 today(41th) is 0,36... but still positive.
why still positive ?
any infection , diabetes , hyper tension ??!!??
42.days PCR and DUO result.
PCR Result
HIV1-RNA 0.0 (NEGATIVE)
--------------------------------------------------------
after the PCR result re-test with DUO.
HIVDUO = 0.36 (POSITIVE)
p24 = (NEGATIVE)
-------------------------------------------------------
What does it mean ?
PCR - Negative but Duo still POSITIVE ?

this result belongs to hiv duo.
cutoff = negatif =< 0.25
but our result is 0.48 , means positive.
State your exposure so we can help determine your risk. I don't understand how 0.48 is considered positive. What I know is anything above 1 is positive.
Hiv 1 = positive (0,48) and p24= negative;
is this usual result ?
What was your possible exposure?
Is there any relationship between EBV (infectious mononucleosis) and p31 band ?
perhaps your infection was acquired from a different episode hence the antigen part is no longer positive. correct me if I'm wrong. your interdeterminate WB is nothing to worry about now. Wait for 3 months and test again with an antibody test. Take care.
Like you were advised,an HIV test will be conclusive at 3 months post--exposure.
before infected gonorrhea. after treatment I am scared and decided to test to HIV
What risk do you have to require an HIV test--did you have unprotected sex?
What was your possible exposure?
test results belong to 28th day after unprotected sex.
What was your possible exposure?
Hiv1/Hiv2 is Positive but P24 is Negative.. Is it a normal ?
