Testing is all a matter of what you are comfortable with. Six weeks is enough for almost the entire population. the rest is all CYA by the health organizations.
Bloodbank has outdated information, but it doesn't matter for you because you said your last exposure was more than a year ago, right? And you recently had another negative test? Yes, you are HIV negative and I don't know why you are even here.
The blood bank is more stringent because the test for all communicable diseases, and not just HIV. They are NOT behind times.
I'm sorry. Teak is right. I researched more about it. Bloodbanks are much more conservator. They do test for more than HIV. Anyways, you tested beyond a year you are fine.
