Hiv infection?

We are gay couple. Recently my partner got sick and  had a check up. He got dignosed with candida gastrite. He went on further physical and it says he's hiv positive. Here's his condition;  30 years old, hiv viral load: 26,000, CDs count: 584, the doctor assumed that my partner became hiv positive about a year and a half ago. No other STDs found on his body. Aside from Hiv positive his health condition is so far okay. After got the result, he's on stribild treatment day of 14 so far.

Anyways, when he first got dignosed with Candida yeast infection, we had oraquick check ourselves at home. The result was that his test was only hiv positive( it was almost 2 weeks after the last sex I had with him). I'm pretty sure that I'm in high possibility of infection. I'm may be in a latency period.

Here are my questions,
First,  I want to know my case of possibility. I was told that  the transmission possibility per each episode is quite low in m2m unprotected sex, such as 0.01 % at a time. I had unprotected anal sex with him more than 20 times and oral sex about 10 times in 2 months before he got disgonosed. I was topping only, I swallowed his load  several times after brushing my teeth( I felt my gum tissue was a bit damaged at that time. I brushed my teeth a bit hard) and ond day I had a small abrasion in my mouth. I was very stupid did such things. I believed him so much. He didn't know his condition either.

Second, Is 26,000 of viral load count  highly contagious?

Third, several days ago I had very unusual rash widely all over my trunk, chest and back. It lasted about 7 days, very Itchy. Now it's all gone. After this, I had a cold like symptoms such as stcratchy throat and fatugue also had a fever, 99℉ didn't feel any pain but I felt my body was a bit heavy with dizzness. Can the acute hiv syndrome symptoms appear seperately and it comes and goes several times?

Here's my final question, my partner is highly relying on alchohol. He's not a heavy drinker but he can't sleep without any alchohol a day. Can this affect his hiv condition to go bad? His liver somatic index was about 40 and the doctor says his liver is clear.

I'm so worried that I can't focus on things I have to do right now. very worried. thanks for reading my questions.

Hello I'm sorry to hear about your partner Diagnoses. From what you have described you are at a High risk of HIV Infection due unprotected sex even if you were topping though the risk could be lower if you were only topping. But I agree with what Curfew has said with testing.

HIV ARS symptoms are very hard to fully grasp mainly due to the fact that the often mimic other illness's like the Flu. The only way to know your infected with the HIV virus is to get tested.

Regrading your partner drinking habit it could have a effect with his HIV since it could wreak havoc on his liver when he he's taking his HIV Med's I would imagine. I suggest maybe going to a psychologist to discuss these very trying issues. I can only imagine the amount of stress between you 2. Hang in there and stay strong! Btw the mind can be very powerful making you think that you have something when you don't!

I 100% agree with CurfewX's assessment. You need far more advanced assistance than what can be given here. You need to find an HIV specialist to help you.

Your questions require far more expertise than can be addressed in this, or any online forum.  Please consult with an infectious disease specialist, preferably one with expertise in HIV.

Obviously, you should not have unprotected sex with your partner, regardless of his viral load.

Acute symptoms should appear all at once; however, HIV CANNOT be diagnosed by symptoms.  Again, talk with a doctor, and take a DUO test 28 days after your last unprotected exposure.  Your doctor can best advise you on how to proceed with testing and prevention.
