Hiv question

I work at a store well today someone gave me a tip(few quaters) I put it in my pocket..well I fondled my change in my pocket annoying habit well I felt something on one of the quaters and pulled it out and it was red(kinda dried up looking) blood. I washed my hands dissposed of the quarter and didnt think anything of it..started thinking about hiv..thought id ask you guys what are the chances of thus grtting into a cut and transimitting and if it were to gey under my fingernail could it live there? I know you guys get weird questions..i just want fo kno abd move on. Thank you.

Thank you very much. I wasn't worried about me getting it like this..like my fear was fingering my gf and tge virus living under my nails but I think from what im reading on here that the virus would have by then became inactive. Correct?

unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse

mother to child

transmission takes place INSIDE the body...when a penis is inside a vagina / anus.

what you have described is 100% NO risk :)

Thanks very much. So even if got under my nails tbe virus becomes inactive? Thats all im worried about cause I know dome virus/dieases can live under your nails. so for play with my girlfriend is safe?

Aboslutely zero risk from what you describe and the reason is that the hiv virus becomes inactive once exposed to air and therefore is unable to remain infectious.Your safe and there is no reason to give this matter another thought.Hiv has never been transmitted via fomites.
