Hiv test coming soon. Really Really anxious. plz help

Hi I am from singapore and my encounters were in singapore. The first one in August 2003 and the second one in April 2006.

Recently, i have been feeling that my tongue is a bit itchy in the centre. However when i look in the mirror i cant see any pimple or anything unusual. Also, these past days my hands and feet have been feeing numb and tingling...as if my veins were moving for a couple of seconds. Maybe this is due to the stress i have been undergoing but im not sure. Are these hiv symptoms?

I really need support.
To help myself, i remind myself of the first time i had unprotected sex with the sex worker (singapore). In this encounter, i told her beforehand that this was my first time having sex and i was drunk and i could not erect properly. Because i could not erect properly, she took off the condom and had sex for 2mins maybe. I really hope that she did that because she was fine and thought that since this is my first time..i would be fine too. I really hope so.

The second time i had unprotected sex...the same scenario happened. But the duration was much less than 2 mins. After the sex, she was the one who asked me if i was ok. I hope that she was ok and was concerned.

Thats all the unprotected sex i had. I'm really sorry for that. And i hope that the hiv test will turn out ok.

I'm sorry that the post is so long but i am really looking forward to your support.

Thank you for you great work.

I'm sure your fine.  2 episodes of unprotected sex doesn't pose a high risk.  For the future, wear protection if your going to have casual sex with anybody, including friends & escorts.

I am almost positive that your test results will be negative. Calm down and relax. Do SOMETHING to take your mind off of it, like catch a movie with a friend or something. That is what helps me....I know, I know easier said than done :)

Thanks guys, you are all very great and i admire the work you and the doc have been doing. I wanted to make donation but am still unemployed. I will do so afterwards and will go for voluntary work as well.

After going through this exprience, i have to say, sex will not be on my mind for a couple of years.

Thanks a lot. Will keep you updated.

thanks a lot kekelow. Really appreciate it.

Yea, this job is great and I dont want ot screw it now. I have worked so hard at uni.

After reading all the posts on this site and on some other sites too, I have come to some conclusions.

1. Female to male tranmission is rather difficult.
2. one time unprotected vaginal is considered low risk.
3. everybody is concerned about their health, and i think that sex workers too are concerned about their health.
4. No one would want to infect someone on purpose. (i think).

Are the above true?

does that mean it is quite hard for a virgin to get infected on his first sexual intercourse (be it unprotected) with a woman (assuming the woman is positive). ?

Thanks for your answers.
God bless.

Thanks a lot kekelow.

Going through all this anxiety and stuff is really a life changing experience. This is where you realise all the important things in life. Your words are very encouraging. Thank you.

Gob blesss.

Thanks kekelow.

Your words have helped me to sleep well after so many nights. Earlier i used to have vey bad dreams all night....now it's pretty much ok. Really, your help means a lot.

After going through all that, i see the importance of practising safe sex. 20 mins of fun does not compensate for all these days of worries.

One last question, I have seen that some people refer to sex workers as others refer to prostitutes.

Is there a difference between these two or are they both ladies giving sex in return for money?

thanks a lot.

Take care.
God bless.

Thank you.

Well, i understand what you are saying but i still have fear. My test will be due in one week time. This is the hardest part.

I'm pretty sure i have got the virus though. I keep seeing all these signs everywhere. I see them on tv ads, on the radio, in newspaper. Moreover, today while i was going to the bus stop, i  saw a big hiv ad next to the bus stop. Furthermore, recently, while switching channels on tv, in one channel they were showing a documentary and i could clearly hear the reporter saying "he was diagnosed with hiv". I have been have lots of 'nightmares' recently, where i could see myself ready to take the airplane back to home. This is just freaking...really really freaking.

Sorry to be bothering you all with the stories but i really need help as the test day approaches.

Thank you.
God bless.
