Home Access test results at 2 months

by worried612, Aug 12, 2009 03:28PM
I was possibly exposed on the night of June 6.  I drew blood on the morning of August 6.  And I used the Home Access test.  I just got my results, and they were negative.   Is this enough of a time frame to be conclusive?   Also, does anyone have any statistics on just how reliable the Home Access tests are?

Thank You

No and had you looked at the instructions you would have known. 3 months post exposure is conclusive.

I read the instructions.  I've also read so many different opinions on the window period, I don't know which to believe.  Some say 3 months, some say 3 weeks.

There has never been a 3 weeks and you didn't see three weeks anywhere on a Home Access test.

I didn't say I saw it on the HA test.  It says 3 months.  Some doctors on this site say 6 weeks.  I've seen some sites say as little as 2 weeks.

I have asked a very simple question.

Is 8 weeks(2 months) enough of a window, that I can breath a little easier until I retest in a month?
