Is it possible to be feeling symptoms from HIV acute infections only four days after an incident? I had a sexual encounter four days ago and woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat, dry cough, diarrhea, and fatigue. Four days is still too early, but it's not a guarantee that you haven't contracted HIV. Could be out of your fear. If the fear is unbearable I suggest you get tested at 6 weeks post-exposure, which result is very unlikely to change at 3 months post-exposure.
