how long after ars symptoms would a test show positive?  if you took a test a day or so after ars symptoms would it show?

are ars symptoms ever short lived as in 24-36 hours?

ARS symptoms according to expert last 2 to 4 weeks after infection, but symptoms are not a reliable source for diagnosing HIV. just like ive told you above my response. i have experienced all of HIV glorious symptoms but manage to test negative on my 9th week i have 3 weeks more to go before my last test.if you wana know my exposure, click my profile. my advise my friend if you had a exposure get tested on the proper testing guidlines and everyhing will come out fine. i strongly believe you will test negative what ever exposure you have :)

Acute Retroviral Syndrome starts 2 - 4 weeks after infection, average time of people seroconverting to positive is 22 days but some will do so 4 - 6 weeks after infection.

ARS is a combination of lots of symptoms for symptomatic people - High fever , rash , fatigue , swollen gland , malaise , sore throat etc etc.

for asymptomatic people they would not experience symptoms for years but dont know that they are HIV positive

Symptoms are not the best diagnosis for HIV only a blood or oral swab could determine if you have HIV.

most people here complain about rash's swollen glands etc etc. before rushing into conclusion always consult your doctor NEVER self diagnose your self. only a doctor and a test would know your status.

My advise if you had an exposure try to relax. because most symptoms are driven by a psychosomatic response. which may fuel most our Anxiety and fear. get a test on the proper and stand testing guideline get your 1st test on the 6 or 8th week after exposure and take a conformatory test on the 13 week for a definitive result. your options testing beyond the 3 mark is always open. HIV is a waiting game taking test on the proper time would give you a definitive and assuring result.

reagards

No they usually last a week or two...I think the theory is about 2 weeks after you will show positive.  What was your risk?
