How to confirm a PCR test?

I am 2 weeks past exposure. I want to go ahead and get a PCR by DNA test. If it was to turn positive how would they confirm that it is actually positive? Wouldn't it be too soon for a western blot test?

U can confirm ur pcr by a Hiv Antibody test betwee 6 - 12 weeks or if u want earlier then u can confirm it via a DUO test arnd 3 weeks(not 100% confirmatory). The best if Elisa between 6-12 weeks.

At two weeks following the exposure RNA PCR is what you should go for not DNA PCR, the right time to get a DNA PCR is any time after the 16th day.

i took the pcr dna test 27 days after unprotected sex-its negative
i took the pcr dna test again 45 days after=negative

i took antibody test 8.9.10 weeks all negative

but my 11 week was reactive and western blot inconclusive

any advised or feed back iam scare i tested so many negatives and now this

Even though I don't buy your story what did the clinic say to you when they gave you the results?

I don't understand why you haven't gone directly to another clinic to test again.  The chances that your 27 and 45 day PCR came back negative, and that your 10 week antibody test came back negative and that you're actually HIV positive is so astronomically low I don't even know where to begin...
