. I know after ARS that no symptoms can show up for years. I have a new girlfriend and I think curiousity has gotten the best of me. Is this something I should spend the time/money to get tested?

Hi there,
Basing from your description, there is no risk for STI and HIV infection. You do not need any test.
I would recommend any sexually active person to have STI tests, including HIV, at least once a year.
