I am so scared. Need your advice.

i am getting my test result next week and I am so scared!!!  My sexual hx. are as followed:

I’ve had receptive anal 3 times all my life with two different partners.  Last one was more than 7 years ago.  Out of the three, 1 was unprotected, and it happened about 10 years ago when I was 20.  My partner was about 21 then.  I don’t remember if he mentioned about his HIV status back then since it was so long ago.  I don’t ever remember having any symptoms that were mentioned in the forum (at least not that I can recall).  

Since 7 years ago, I’ve not participated in any anal sex as I think that’s too risky.  However, I’ve engaged in oral sex (giving and receiving), frottage, rimming (receiving only) with various males, some I am not sure of their HIV status.  My last sexual encounter was January 2010, and since then, I’ve not been with anyone.

I’ve been reading many of your threads lately, and I give you my words that I will start taking your advice, which includes asking person about their HIV status, always use a condom, etc.  

What are my risks that my test will come out positive?  I am so scared.  The fact that I feel pretty healthy, is that a good sign?  Please advise.  Thank you!!!

Welcome to our Forum.  Your only substantial risk for HIV is your single unprotected episode of receptive rectal intercourse 10 years ago.  I suspect that at this time there is no way of knowing that person to find out his status however it is statically unlikely that he had HIV and, if he did, your risk of getting HIV from a single exposure is less than 1%.  Those are pretty good odds.  

As for oral sex (including rimming), frottage, mutual masturbation, these are not things to worry about.  

Your good health certainy also predicts that you did not get HIV through the exposure you describe which happened so long ago.

Chances are high that your test will be negative.  Please let us know when you get your test results.  EWH
