I cannot move on

I have a negative test at 12 weeks mark but my exposure(unprotected vaginal and oral with prostitute) was in SE Asia and because of that I am worried about window period for subtype E. If window period for that type of HIV is longer so how test at 3 months can be conclusive? How anyone can know which type he/she was exposed???

That shouldn't depend on tests but on the strains on HIV and their acquisition of antibodies...

No, you are not right with todays tests. You are conclusively negative.

Yes but the rate of acquisition of anti-HIV antibodies may vary from one HIV subtype to the other, and may be slower with CRF Subtype A/E... Am I right???

Reread what I posted. There are no true subtype E.. There are CRF subtypes which are picked up by ALL tests.
