In an adult, HIV is spread through unprotected anal or vaginal sex and by sharing drug needles with infected users. You did not have a risk for HIV and therefore there is no reason for testing.

Thanks! But today I'm feeling itchy throat. Is this somehow related to it? Is it possible to have symptoms this late? Do I need to get tested for it?
You couldn't get HIV from your encounter.

An itchy throat can't cause HIV, so you still don't have HIV.

Almost everyone experiences the nuisance of an itchy throat from time to time. Itchy throats are a very common sign of hay fever and other allergies or may be an early sign of a viral or bacterial infection.
Most of the time itchy throats can be managed with simple over-the-counter treatments and home remedies.
Thanks! However should I get tested? I feel like if I get tested I'll be traumatized....
