I think this is irrational, but I need your confirmation

I used a public restroom and did not realize that the toilet water was higher than usual - it was actually up to the top of the toilet.  I sat down and felt the toilet water.  I think my vagina made contact with it.  I have no idea if the toilet was broken and therefore the person before me may not have flushed it.  I did not see any blood in the toilet water, but could there have been vaginal fluid (if the person before had some vaginal discharge) and could that be a means of hiv transmission?  I know in my heart that this is irrational, and that hiv does not live outside the body, but I really need an answer/confirmation from an expert.  I probably have OCD and I think hearing from you that this is irrational will help and I can go get treatment for the OCD and move on!

Welcome to our Forum  As Lizzie Lou told you two days ago, there is absolutely NO way that you could catch HIV or any other STD from getting yourself wet from toilet water, no matter who had used the toilet before you.  There is no reason for concern.  EWH
