antibodies as well as the 'HIV P24 antigen'. The HIV p24 antigen is a core HIV viral protein which becomes detectable at approximately 10 days post exposure, peaks at 16 days or so and then remains at high level for 8 to 10 weeks post exposure. It will then fluctuate over the rest of the course of the illness. HIV p24 antigen is extremely useful in combination with an HIV antibody test in determining early on whether an individiual has been infected with HIV.

how many days it takes to develope the antigen and antibody?
should the antigen disapper while the antibody develop..
how it can be? some experts says that antibody will never disapper it will remain same and it can be detected.. wats the truth pls reply
P24 test has a very short window period. An antibody test can take up to 3 months to test positive. If one is positive the antibodies attach to the antigens and the antigens become undectable and then you may still be positive and still not be detectable for HIV via the antibody test.
ie we can take the p24 test in 3-4 weeks after exposure ...
if (no not everyone will have enough antibodies at 6 weeks ) in that time we can detect antigen ? wat is the time to take antibody test ?
you have already been advised that you were never at risk from having condom protected sex and that you never needed to test and dont need further testing.
I am sorry, if i irritate you, ok, i am not going to asking any question, but just thanking you for your quick and positive reply. You are doing very well work for that people who is scared for life . Thanks
