Im Nervous

I live in Kuwait. I had sex with my exgirlfriend, which is filipina. I caught clamydia from her. This happened August 2008. I have white tongue, but Ive had that before and it wasn't hiv. I went to the doctor and he said my tongue was normal and that it is uncommon for people to have a little white on the tongue, especially towards the rear. I dont have vomiting, sweats, diarea, or loss of apetite. I do have dry cough sometimes, but not common, I have irratated throat, I feel sleepy alot now, and maybe a little fatigued. I am nervous that maybe Ive got hiv. I cant get tested now, because in kuwait you are tested before arriving here, and if you have hiv or hep then you are denied entrance, and if you are already here like me, and they test you and your positive, then they deport you. I must wait until my vacation to america. help me answer some of these questions please.

Hi Gary,

I don't know if you have health insurance but I can recommend a good Dr in Kuwait. He is based atthe British clinic, just off the gulf road going from mangaf to fahaheel. It is the road going up to the 30 almost opposite the sea club. Its a pink and white striped building, they have the road all dug up I think. He is called Dr Hasan, I think, he trained in the UK. He is very sympathetic, and can send bloods out of the country to get tested, if you are really desperate to know. If you have insurance it won't cost you anything. Otherwise get a free test thats done by The Ministry of Interior, but like you say if its positive they will deport you. Chances are she's negative anyway, did she have a HIV test on entering the country, when was that?

Anytime that you have unprotected vaginal or anal sex you put yourself at risk. Unless you and your partner go test together always use condoms consistently and correctly. Don't ever take anyones word that they are not infected.

Ok, but what are the risk factors for this and the possibilities after this encounter for exposure.

Test at 3 months to collect your conclusive result.
