Im really confused...and scared!

Ok, i keep posting and i know i might be annoying some of you, for that im sorry, but i have knowone else to turn to , i feel like i cant tell anyone. Quickly to recap, i had unprotected sex once and protected 3 times (once condom broke, but pulled out and put new one on ASAP) the unprotected incident is now 7 weeks or more ago. at the 6 week mark i had a test, im to get those results on monday i hope. i couldn't wait for that so i had an instant done which i paid for the next day, (kit was manufactured by a company called  biolytic) it came back negative...

I have a few anxieties, first being ARS symptoms, im at 7 weeks now. I know TEAK says always its 2-4 weeks, im wondering where that info is from and is it 100%? there is no way of ARS at 6-7 weeks?

I do have swollen glands in neck and slightly in my groin, my armpet feels discomfort, but im trying not to go touching there, my doctor didnt seem to think that there was swelling, but i know there is, i can see it. i have a slight dry mouth and a general strange feeling, not ill, but not 100% would these be symptoms of ARS and if they were would and could they occur at my time period?

If it is not HIV related what else could be causing this?

Im really scared, i cant sleep, ive cried, i became antisocial, i havnt done any uni work for over a week...im going crazy...

also,,, i rang an aids helpline and explained this, the woman said i need one at 3 months (she sounded like 6 weeks really wasnt good)  someone....please help me....

Thankyou

your doctor told you that your lymph nodes were NOT swollen...he's the expert...listen to him ! ! !  your dry mouth and strange feeling are typical symptoms of anxiety...not hiv.

It doesn't matter if ARS come at 2-4 weeks (the accepted actual timeframe) or 7 weeks. ARS symptoms don't show up in half of cases, and they are identical to many other other more common illnesses. So stop diagnosing yourself based on symptoms you find on the internet.

I don't know anything about the instant test you bought- check to see if it is approved for use in the US, should be on the box or website. Regardless, see what your pther administered test results are. According to the Dr.'s (see archives in their forum) 6 weeks is 95%+ accurrate, and they have never seen a 6 week negative go positive later. Get a 3 mon/12 week test for a conclusive result, although again if/when your 6 week test is negative, you can expect the 12 week to be negative as well.

I am not a doctor, but check their archives and see if you don't think they'd tell you the same
