Immunosuppressants and HIV
Hi, I just have a question about taking Immunosupressants and their affect on
HIV
Acute hiv infection
Asymptomatic hiv infection
Elisa/western blot tests for hiv
Early symptomatic hiv infection
Hiv
Hiv infection
Histoplasmosis, disseminated in hiv patient
Hives (urticaria) - close-up
Hives (urticaria) on the arm
Hives (urticaria) on the back
Hives (urticaria) on the back and buttocks
testing.
I have an autoimmune disease of the liver called
primary
Primary insomnia
Primary amyloidosis
Primary biliary cirrhosis
Primary hyperparathyroidism
Primary lymphoma of the brain
sclerosing cholangitis, I also have ulcerative
colitis
Colitis
Irritable bowel syndrome
Ischemic colitis
Necrotizing enterocolitis
Salmonella enterocolitis
Ulcerative colitis
. I was taking Immuran 50mg/day back in november up until december. I had a possible exposure to
HIV

Asymptomatic hiv infection

Early symptomatic hiv infection

Histoplasmosis, disseminated in hiv patient

in the first week of november 2010. Also a possible exposure in 2009.
I was wondering if these would effect the result on a antibody test? I got a
rapid
Rapid shallow breathing
finger
Amputated finger
Amyloidosis on the fingers
Clubbed fingers
Cryoglobulinemia - of the fingers
Herpes zoster (shingles) on the hand and fingers
Janeway lesion on the finger
Kawasaki's disease, peeling of the fingertips
Nail abnormalities
Replantation of digits
Ringworm, tinea manuum on the finger
Skin cancer, melanoma on the fingernail
prick test done at 9 weeks. Results were non-reactive. I'm also waiting on the results of a DNA PCR test. Would immunosuppressants or an autoimmune disease effect either the DNA PCR test or the antibody test?

The answer to your questions are NO. PCR-DNA tests are not diagnostic tests.
