Ok, I try to make my story short. I had protected sex a bit more than 2 weeks ago. But when I pulled out my penis it was all covered in blood and I realized that I have some new psoriasis legions at the beginning of my penis which were not protected by the condom. So I got some blood on the legions. My psoriasis is not scaling much at the moment, but after sex, the legions were strongly red (blood pressure increase I guess). I didn't know much about HIV and psoriasis so I got scarred, and since I had one dose of PEP left from three years ago when my condom broke with a sex worker I took that dose and went to see the doctor the next morning. That doctor prescribed me then the PEP and also told me basically that I can't have "save" sex anymore if I have psoriasis in my genital area, which kind of freaked me out.
A couple of days later I went to see my skin doctor, that told me that I'm still save as long as my skin is not broken, but also told me to continue the PEP.
I'm currently in Thailand were I read that the transmission risk is higher, due to different HIV subtype and also higher percentage of HIV positive people.
Which doctor is right?
Why did my doctor tell me to continue the treatment, if he himself said I was not at risk? (not so important too me, but it made me wonder later)
What exactly is broken skin? Does it have to be actively bleeding?
I saw in one post here mentioned about scaling skin. is there increased risk if my skin is scaling?
Thanks for any replies
