Listen to your doctor. Most pregnant women will test positive on an HIV test eventhough they are not positive.

I am almost 3 months pregnant and have never had a positive HIV test or would think I would. But today my doctor called and told me that the intial HIV test was positive and the second was inconclusive. He then told me not to worry and I needed to test in 1 month. I am so very scared and confused. He said it is a possiblity that my pregnancy could be causing my body to produce these antigens. Have you ever heard of this. Please if you or anyone knows. I really would like to know more. Thank you Christina

I can add to what ECN said that two "inconclusive" tests taken 3 weeks apart suggest that there is no HIV infection.  You will have to provide us more information if you want a more detailed advice

Inconclusive result is when a western blot test taken after a positive elisa or rapid test doesnt show all the bands needed to be positive.
