Do what you want but no one on this site ever says 6 months. Anyone who says 6 months is behind the times. Either believe us or don't but we are not going to go around in circles.
Vance and Teak,
I am confident in your response and assurances and am relieved when I read them. But I have had some medical concerns (i'm 21 weeks post possible exposure), I won't call them symptoms becasue I don't know if they are but they concern me and when I chat with folks or read more I become nervous.
I have a white tongue in the morning and the tip of my tongue is red. I brush it and it becomes mostly pink but then in the morning it's white again. I have had small little bumps under my arm pits and ears, they come and go, I have occassional pain under my chin and I believe I have more moles than before. Agian, I am concerned with differing information and comments from others saying I should test at 6 months. I just want to be able to inform them that I'm ok that 3 month is conclusive.

Are you undergoing chemyo or just had an organ replaced? No then move on. Just read your interaction with Dr.Hook.
If testing was required at 6 months is that 24 weeks or the actual 6 months? If someone tested at 22 weeks would that make a difference?
3 month would probably pick up all infections no matter what but those specific people are asked to test out to 6 months.
So a 3 month negative test is conclusive and no further testing would be required regardless of the risk. Would 3 month pick up those even with chemo, organ transplants etc.,
If someone has an actual risk then 3 months is conclusive. Because 3 months is the time frame set up by the manufacture of the tests and approved by the FDA and CDC. This time frame will pick up ALL infections no matter of risk.
