Is it possible to have been raped and not knowing it ?

Dear Dr.,

I am a 20-year old 100% heterosexual man and here is my situation. A week ago I went out with friends. I drank a lot of beer (around 3-4 liters). I remember everything except one thing. I was at the club between 4.15 and 5.00 am. I had a blackout between 4.30 and 5.00 am. Then, I remember I bought something to eat, took a taxi and went back home alone. The last thing I remember is vomiting at around 6 am.

What is bothering is that I have no recollection at all of what happened during that time. As a I am a total anxious person, I started thinking about the worst like : raping a girl, having being raped by a man (I am 100% heterosexual). I have had no pain anywhere, no bleeding from my anus (never performed anal so I guess it would have hurt and I would have physical clues that something happened). It has been a rough week as I pictured myself doing to worse thing but I do not have a memory of that. I have a sore throat (or my throat was dry for 4 days). My temperature varies between 36,8°C and 37.3°C. I really have no other symptoms and no pain at all. I am also allergic to acari and pollens. Could I be at risk for HIV ?

Thank you so much for your time.

Best regards.

Sam.

your "temp" is nothing to be alarmed about.  a sore throat is a sore throat...we all get it from time to time.

Look I was really drunk. Maybe it is just my mind tricking me. Is it my anxiety developing all of these symptoms ?
