Is there any relation between HIV and lymph gland swelling?

Can the symptom of HIV be without lymph gland swelling after 1 year of infection? I heard that (I dont know whether it is right or wrong) HIV attacks B-lymphocytes present in lymph gland. Any of you come across HIV infected person who do not have lymph gland swelling after 1 year of infection. Please give comments.

Did you have a risk (i.e. unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse or sharing IV drug works)?

I had unprotected sex with a female last year March, after 6 months I had a fever for around a week, I would like to add that I observed skin rash on her arm afterwards  which were healed already. I dont have any test so far. I dont have any lymph gland pain or swelling so far. Though I know that it cannot be judge by symptoms but all of the HIV contracted person I knew reported their lymph node gland swelling, atleast for sometime which I dont have so far. I know that I have a chance to get HIV but, before testing I would like to know the chance of not getting HIV even. Can someone tell me something from their past experience how HIV effect their body after 1 year  of infection.
