, just recieve, and i have occasionally gotten fingered (but no bodily fluids besides saliva was involved). A couple of weeks ago, i came down with a very severe sore throat
1) If that's your exposure, you had no realistic risk for contracting HIV.
2) Sore throat alone is not considered a symptom for Acute Retroviral Sindrome (syndrome).
3) Antibiotics worked, but may be you should take them for a long time, check back with your phisician.
I agree with the guys above. Nothing that you have done would be considered risky at all. I never discourage people from getting tested for HIV (unless it is repetitive testing), but if you do, expect only a negative result.
As for strep, it can be persistent and you may just need to take another course of antibiotics. Don't stress out over it.
